The first ice machine has been donated to the fishermen of the Stromboli, as part of the Blue Marine Foundation and Aeolian Islands Preservation Fund’s efforts to promote responsible fishing. The ice machine produces up to 500kg of flaked ice per day. The fishermen of Stromboli, who have enthusiastically welcomed the installation of the machine, will finally be able to ensure that the daily catch retains its maximum freshness and quality, and will be able to restock the ice every day. Our thanks goes to the Claudio Utano of MoloTre agency for having granted a space to host the machine in Stromboli, and to Paolo de Rosa, President of the association Attiva Stromboli, for support on the island.
